Spring is in the air! As I write this, tomorrow is the first day of Spring, and an impending snowstorm looms less than 48 hours away. Regardless, there are flowers and sunshine and warm days in our near future. I’m feeling grateful for the season to come, and I hope you are too.
I want to take a moment to introduce myself, in case you don’t know me. I am Sharon Greenbeck and I’ve accepted the position to serve as your Junior Warden for the next few years. My husband, Joe, and I have been members here for 18 years. When we arrived, our children were in Sunday School, and now our oldest grandson, Chip, is attending. I’ve served in many small roles over the years; reader, chalicist, helping with projects or events, or on a committee of one kind or another. This is by far the most challenging role and I’m excited to be able to serve the church, and you.
The property committee has an extensive list of upkeep, repairs and cleaning to be done to keep our treasured church property in good shape, so please consider volunteering. Work days will typically be the 2nd Saturday of each month. However, because we’re having a Dumpster Day on April 21st, that will also be April’s work day. As we get into the warmer weather, please look in the good news and church bulletins for the work-day plans. If you enjoy painting and we’re painting, please come and help for even an hour! If you prefer to work outside, look for those days and your help will be much appreciated! To this end, if you like to clean and throw stuff out, this is your time to shine!
I’m looking forward to the next few years, and to getting to know you better. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions or ideas.
